Ponies As Partners - Therapeutic Riding, Inc. provides equine therapy services to individuals utilizing the Equine/Human bond to facilitate physical & mental health & wellness.

THERAPEUTIC RIDING adapts traditional recreational horseback riding to the unique needs and goals of individuals with physical, emotional and cognitive challenges. Participation and cooperation between riders, parents, teachers and therapists is encouraged.

THERAPEUTIC RIDING IS.....

• Good for your body - the horses motion stimulates a rider’s lower body resulting in increased range of motion, balance, rhythm, muscle tone and posture.

• Motivation for educational achievement where current scholastic goals are incorporated. Stimulating the rider’s visual, auditory and tactile senses improves integration central to body awareness and overall well- being.

• Fun way to build self-esteem and overcome fear. The horse promotes an environment of trust and mutual cooperation/bonding. Interaction between lessons participants expands social skills and team spirit.

NARHA (N.American Riding for the Handicapped Assoc.) Certified instructors adhere to a strict code of ethics and are trained to provide safe, effective and progressive lessons geared to each individual rider.
